The staff is always extremely eager and courteous! The restaurant has real potential to become my next favorite. The restaurant is truly extremely stylishly furnished. No cheap decoration, instead the colors were all very harmoniously matched to each other. I can say that until now nothing has frustrated us! It was a good experience in my mouth every time.

Up until now we have always been very enthusiastic customers of the restaurant. Up until a year ago we were there almost every weekend, but unfortunately we haven't been there since the move. Last week we made up our minds and ventured there on the way. The joy was very great, because the food and the atmosphere there were always perfect! But then ... An unfriendly staff did not even meet us and we stood there for a few minutes until we found a place ourselves and sat down there. It took about twenty minutes for a waiter to come to us, even though at least 3-4 were free !!! One waiter was standing on the terrace and talking to customers. The others stood around as if written and cared about nothing! The tables were completely messed up and nobody cared about it! After a good hour the food arrived. No rice, no salad, no ketchup and, worst of all, no cutlery ... By the time our cutlery arrived, our food was already cold! The rest of the things didn't even arrive! What happened there in that one year? The worst of all, the dirty toilets! No paper and there was dirt everywhere! Never, never, ever again! It's a shame so many wonderful memories that we had there turned into a nightmare after a visit!

I've never waited so long for food in my life, we waited around 50 minutes (minimum) for three dishes. We asked the waiter several times about it, but it didn't go any faster. Already wanted to go but then at some point the food arrived, the portions very small for the price (mixed grill plate) but at least delicious. But you won't get enough of a hungry man, not even after the dessert you ordered.

Very nice modern and well-kept restaurant where you can also sit outside. The quality of the dishes is right here! The service staff is very friendly and attentive! Small drawback, the waiting time. We were 6 men and waited almost an hour ... Otherwise everything was fine.

Have been to this restaurant several times and have tried almost everything. The meat dishes especially lamb are really delicious. The soup and the mezze starter plate are also excellent. This is my secret favorite when I want to eat something delicious and balanced in Essen. By the way, there are two floors.

Now for eating: Very extensive menu, with the choice of Turkish specialties to simple pasta dishes everyone will find something here. The same applies to the drinks. Soft drinks, various types of wine, spirits such as raki and hot drinks are plentiful in the menu. The quality of the food leaves nothing to be desired. Tender meat, plenty of side dishes and adequate portions. The price-performance ratio is more than good. We recommend. Gladly again

The restaurant is modern, in good weather you sit outside, overlooking the flax market. The menu offers Turkish, main courses are between six and 17 euros. My "pide with meat" is fresh and the wait was worth it, it is really delicious. Service reveals a very clear separation. Despite princely tipping, there is tea only for compatriots. Too bad.

Loved this place! Firstly it is nice to sit with a charming view if youre seated on the balcony. Secondly the service is great, just lovely people. And third but not least the food. For this kind of money we were blown away. We shared a grill for 2, it was served with a small show at our table. The meat was fresh, perfectly grilled and seasoned to perfection. If I wouldn't live 500km away I would come here every week.

Excellent lachmacun with salad, and a delecteble lentil soup. Prices are a limitation to becoming an every day location, but once a week for lunch would be quite suitable.

Very good and genuine Turkish restaurant in the centre of the town. Delicious food and friendly staff with a quick service. Especially the grilled dishes were very good and portions were of a good size. The Efes beer is also a good choice to accompany the food.

We were a big group of hungry and thirsty colleagues from all over the world and we really enjoyed our dinner at Cagdas Cafe. The service was very friendly and fast despite it was around twenty of us. The food was very tasty. Definitely go for everything that's grilled! Actually the grilled meat reminded me a lot of Caucasus cuisine, which I happen to love.

We just came in for a quick drink; my wife ordered a soup (which they forgot to serve for half an hour, but never mind that). Looked like a good place for a meal as well. Very friendly staff.

As usual is good. I was there in Essen after two years. Same taste only change found is ayran is bit " flusig" and no complemantry tea. Grill is super

Nice Turkish restaurant in Essen. Service is good, and the menu has a good variety of dishes, even for people who aren't into Turkish food.

Nice place to eat once on a while. Daily menu is awesome and not really expensive. (Attention, daily manu does not change much from the days, if you go several times on a row you should consider other things from the menu card)

I would always recommend to visit this restaurant should you ever think of visiting the city of Essen. The make great turkish food for fair prices. It is situated in the city centre (Stadtmitte) and not difficult to find. The staff (especially the manager) were always nice and helpful. They really try to accommodate you in the best way. I recommen the Ayran, their grill dishes & Pides ( best pides you can find in the whole region).
